this weekend

A bit busy this weekend because my best friend graduated from law school yesterday and we've been going to graduation, lunches, and parties - or getting ready for them which is a whole other thing. We're very, very proud of her she's finished her bachelors and this law degree all by herself with loans, grants, and work study - no government assistance other than grants, no parental help. Neither of us can even begin to imagine the things she's gone through to finish this degree. So yay for Jocelyn!

This is a lot more social than I usually am so I also take a bit of time to gear up for them and wind down afterwards. Been doing really well so far though and have met some interesting people.

Mom sent me a few favorite pictures from the the late eighties and early nineties so I posted them in the photo journal and thought we could all laugh at my big hair. I was a whole other person then. This was before I realized I was smart - and that it was ok to be a smart girl, among other realizations.

Also, I'm re-arranging my blogrolling lists so there might be some weird looking things going on to the right. And I'm going to do some City of Heroes playing today it's been over a week
