Just taking off

Cody took me out to breakfast when he got home from work this morning. There were four or five hot air balloons taking off in the empty lot next to the restaurant.

I think one of the coolest things about Cody’s job is that he’s up early enough to see that stuff. I think I would miss the balloon fiesta, if I’d ever managed to be awake early enough to see it!

I’m bumming. After 2 years of my former boss going the balloon festival every year (his wife is from Alb.) - I was determined to go this year with the family. Because of new deadlines with the new job - October is totally wiped out of any out-of-town activies for this year.
I guess I’ll have to go to my own home town in December and see the 2nd largest balloon festival there instead!
