Here’s to Veruca

Please send your prayers, prayer-equivalents, thoughts, or simply drink a toast to my sister and her sixteen year-old cat (my favorite kitty niece), Veruca Salt. They were together this afternoon when Veruca peacefully passed into the kitty hereafter following a very bad bout of kidney problems.
May she have lots of fresh catnip where she is now and may her litterbox always be clean.

My sympathy to your sister. I am glad she was able to be with Veruca through the end.

My best to Nicole. Nikki was just one year older than Veruca when I had to have her put down because of kidney problems, and it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I know that cat meant a lot to your sister (I’ve been hearing great stories about Veruca for years) and I hope that she finds the comfort she needs in this difficult time.
Oh, how sad. I’m so sorry for your sister. I know Veruca is running around feeling great and healthy now. Kidney problems are heart breaking.
