not all americans are stupid

I actually have been working on a separate blog for quizzes and memes but I wanted to publish this one right now. I’ll post it on the memes blog too. The address btw is memes.egeltje.org but it’s using a very boring mt template at the moment. I really have been trying to keep the focus here on my writing and not a bunch of quizzes. Kind of thinking about integrating the memes blog with my about me page.
Anyway here’s the quiz-
(Not all) Americans are Stupid
You answered 16 questions correctly out of 20.
You have an impressive understanding of the world for an American. It is likely that you feel intellectually isolated in your home country, and often have to hide your opinions from others. Deep down, you realise that your country is the single biggest threat to world peace in modern times, but you have not yet summoned up the courage to emigrate.
Yeah that pretty much sums it up. Thus this ongoing discussion about moving to the Netherlands (whose national average iq is 102 while the US avg iq is 98 - not as low as I expected). Although I’m not sure my knowing offhand the name of the bar in Liverpool where the Beatles’ premiered really reflects my intellectual knowledge - just my capacity to remember random shit. Anyway my score was above the US average which is 12.42/20 and the non-US average which is 13.21/20 - who knows how stilted those scores are now though.

What Color is Your Brain?
brought to you by Quizilla
At work or in school: I like to be with people, sharing with them, inspiring them, and helping them. I work and learn best when I can take into consideration people and the human element. I flourish in an atmosphere of cooperation.
With friends: I always look for perfect love. I am very romantic, and I enjoy doing thoughtful things for others. I am affectionate, supportive and a good listener.
With family: I like to be happy and loving. I am very sensitive to rejection from my family and to family conflicts. I really like to be well thought of and need frequent reassurance. I love intimate talks and warm feelings.

I’ve noticed a pattern in my recent tv habits that I’m not quite sure I understand. Most of the time the only reality tv I indulge in is Biography, City Confidential, and various History Channel productions. Otherwise I generally stick to really old sitcoms that have gone into syndication on Lifetime and Oxygen, some Animal Planet shows, and movies.
I’ve usually don’t watch Trading Spaces, Surprise by Design or the other fixup / decorating shows on channels like Discovery, TLC, or HGTV. I find they tend to be mean-spirited and the designs to be just yucky - particularly Christopher Lowell’s designs yeeeuck that guy has bad taste. But I can sit around and watch design shows from the UK all day long.
